This is not just about Kris. This is not just about SM artists. It’s about the kpop all together. Idols leading an oppressive and censored lifestyle is something that we take as a fact because “this is how Korean industry functions” and this is so freaking wrong. Sparkling clothes, flawless hair and fancy concepts, all settled by the companies, making you think that idols are gods and goddesses. But no, don’t be fooled by that. They are human beings with feelings and they want to have a normal life just like everyone else does. No smoking, no dating, no girl-boy friendships, no opinions, no individuality, no free expression of their artistic inclinations, no nothing. They work their ass 24/7 and they don’t even get paid in a lot of cases. This exploitation has to stop. I hope Kris’ issue is the beginning of something bright and new..
